About Me

I'm currently working as a Technical Solutions Architect at a Wisconsin based company called IDL Solutions, Inc. I've been a web developer since 1998 and been working with ColdFusion since about the same time when my company did the Wisconsin Lottery's website at the time.

I've worked with many different programming languages  in my career including VB, php, C#, ASP.NET, Java, and ColdFusion.  For some reason I'm always come back to ColdFusion as my language of choice.  One thing I love about programming in different languages is that the things I learn from one language can usually be applied to other languages.

Lately my focus has been more on Object Oriented design and best practices.  You'll see that a lot of my posts will be covering OO topics in addition to normal programming topics.   I've also been making a concentrated effort to read more and I'll be positing reviews of the books I read on this blog as well.

When I'm not sitting in front of my computer I'm either coaching basketball, mountain biking, or riding sportbikes.
